David Frayne

He was educated at Reigate Grammar School and St Edmund Hall, Oxford and ordained in 1961.〔''Crockford’s 1975-76'', Lambeth, Church House, 1975 ISBN 0-19-200008-X〕 He was Curate at St Michael, East Wickham and then Priest in charge of St Barnabas, Downham.〔''Who's Who'' 2008: London, A & C Black, 2008 ISBN 978-0-7136-8555-8〕 He held incumbencies at The Barn Church, Kew, Caterham, Redcliffe, Bristol 〔''The Times'', 5 July 1984; p. 13; Issue 61875; col G Letters page〕 and Bedminster before he was appointed Provost of Blackburn in 1992. He retired in 2001 as Dean following the reclassification of all Provosts as such the preceding year.
